Hello again, Peter


I think that my old friend Peter enjoyed his holiday in Bulgaria. This year, we did not find lots of electrical problems for him to fix, so he actually had a real holiday for once. Tina was very pleased to see her Uncle Peter again. 

I am sure that all of my Chinese readers will appreciate some photos of FOOD. As well as eating lots of delicious food that was cooked by my dear wife, we also went to a restaurant in Elena that was quite good, but a bit more upmarket (and more expensive) than the mehana we usually go to. 

"Tikiya Kit" seems to be the name of the restaurant and no, I do not know what that means, but the food was yummy. We also had some rather good scoffing in Veliko Tarnovo. 

The bad news is that my dear wife keeps making comments about my need for exercise and a diet!

Not so long ago, I wrote a post for my blog called Educaring . Please do not misunderstand me. I really do believe that teachers, youth workers, parents (and indeed anyone involved with young people) all have a duty to protect children and teenagers, to keep them safe. As I argued in my previous posting, I also believe that the task of protecting children is becoming more and more difficult - almost impossible, in fact. On the Cards, Part 1

Getting our new Bulgarian residency cards from the Microwave Oven Woman Rejoice! Let's celebrate. Hallelujah! At long last, the Microwave Woman has given us our new Bulgarian residency cards (BRCs). As a special treat, just in case you do not know what a BRC looks like, here is my old one.  My dear wife suggested that I should "black out" certain bits, as there are lots of evil people out there on the Internet, all gathering my personal and financial details in order to swindle me or involve me in some dreadful scandal or some such nonsense. Of course, no one who reads my blog could ever do such a nasty thing!   Getting our new BRCs means that we can go ahead with our applications for our Russian visas. Then, maybe two or three weeks later, our passports will be returned to us, with new Russian visas stuck into them. The Great Debate

My old friend Peter is supposed to be posting my new Barclaycard and a CD of the photos he took in Bulgaria this summer. No, they have not arrived yet and neither has anything from the HMRC. Bother! As for me, I have been quite busy recently. We finally sorted out the tiles on the “summer kitchen”, the outside seating area located above the septic tank. Yes, there were quite a lot of tiles that were broken by the hailstorm. Kamala Harris and Donald Trump finally got together for a nice little chat last night. A little bit earlier, I had quite a long discussion with Katrina, who is a journalist with  The Daily Mail . No, I am not a keen reader of that newspaper, but she is writing an article about coming to live in Bulgaria, so I was happy to help her.
